3-4 lbs spareribs, cut in pieces
1 lemon, squeezed for the juice
1 large onion, thinly sliced
Marinade:
1 c. catsup
1/3 c. worcestershire sauce
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
2 dashes of tabasco sauce
1 1/2 c. water
1 large onion, thinly sliced
Marinade:
1 c. catsup
1/3 c. worcestershire sauce
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
2 dashes of tabasco sauce
1 1/2 c. water
- Preheat oven at 450° F.
- Salt ribs and place in shallow pan, meaty side up.
- Roast for about 30 minutes. It will be less if you are using back ribs because they are less fatty. Drain excess fat from the pan.
- Top each piece of ribs with some lemon and slice of onion.
- Make sauce by combining all the ingredients and bringing to a boil in a medium pot.
- Pour marinade over ribs.
- Lower oven temperature to 350° F.
- Bake until well done, approximately 1 1/2 hours (fork should go in and out very easily).
- Baste ribs with the sauce once or twice.
- If sauce gets too thick, add a little water.
